  There's two pizza places in Hinsdale: Smitty's and A-1 Pizza. A-1 Pizza is a Greek style pizza. Smitty's seems like more of a Chicago deep dish/NY hybrid. But a Greek pizza usually means it's greasier. And add a bunch of meat toppings and it's heart attack central. Light tones of oregano and garlic in the oil. The pizza was cut into squares. Flavor-wise, the cheese, meat were all good. Owner was there when I arrived and appeared friendly.

  ***Avoid the tuna salad subs.*** My only previous interaction with A-1 Pizza was when I ordered a tuna sub there several months back. The tuna salad tasted like old tuna out of a prepackaged tub. It really stood out as a bad tuna sub -- flavor, consistency, everything. I tossed it out after two bites.
